4 Fun Utah Activities This Fall

The weather is finally cooling off, and the leaves are changing color, which can only mean one thing, Fall is finally here. With the change of season comes a new list of fun things for you and your family to enjoy. We've gathered our top five activities to add to your Fall bucket list.

Go for a Drive

There's no better way to experience Utah's Fall foliage than to go for a drive. Experience Logan Canyon's amazing display of color with its aspen and maple trees. Or you could drive Alpine Loop, where you'll find many spots to have a picnic.

Perhaps the best place is Big Cottonwood Canyon, just east of Salt Lake City. If you drive through the canyon, you'll reach a road to the top where you can take in. The breathtaking picturesque views.

Cross E Ranch Fall Festival

Cross E Ranch offers something for everyone in the family during their annual Fall Festival from September 23 - October 29. There's something for everyone at the festival, from corn mazes to picturesque sunflower fields to a pumping patch.

There are also delicious Fall treats, like our famous apple cider donuts, a Carmel apple, or a bag of fresh kettle corn. This Fall festival is one you don't want to miss!

Scarecrow Festival

There's nothing quite like the annual Scarecrow Festival held from October 10th - 15th in the Ashton Gardens! You'll have the opportunity to create your scarecrow with your friends and family. Once you're done, you can vote for your favorite scarecrows made by others. Prizes will be awarded to the top three scarecrows in the judges and people's choice division.

If you choose not to participate in building a scarecrow, there will still be plenty to do at the festival! Vendors will be there with Fall treats and other activities for your family to enjoy.

Utah State Fair

A Fall bucket list wouldn't  be complete without the state fair! From September 8 - 18th, you can experience the fun of the fair. For younger children, try visiting Little Hands on the farm, where kids ages 2 - 10 will be able to experience feeding pigs, milking cows, and picking some apples.

For older kids, there is still plenty to do, from rides to be able to enter into the various competitions throughout the fair.

A Utah Fall is like no other with the myriad activities you and your family can participate in. No matter what you choose to do, you're sure to enjoy yourself.
