Different License Plate Styles In Utah
Utah has some great license plate styles that embody what we love and the special groups we support. Being something we're all required to have on our vehicle it's nice to add our own personal touch to our license plate. There are some special requirements to get these plates beyond traditional fees. For example, the HAM Radio plate requires an FCC license and a special application to get one. Classic and Collector License Plates
Now that we've covered the more common plates you'll see in Utah let's get into the more uncommon and rare plates. Let's start off with the amazing Olympic plate showing off the year we hosted the Olympics in our state. This one is no longer issued and is a plate that will carry well with enthusiasts of the event or license plate collectors. A classic that has been redone is the Utah Centennial plate which has changed to the Life Elevated Plate mentioned earlier. A more rare and vintage plate comes from 1968-1972 when Utah had a solid black plate with white numerals. As we get further and further away from 1972 these plates slowly fall out of existence making them a hard find.
Custom License Plates

A little bit tougher with a 5 character limit is the special custom plate and the "In God We Trust" plate. Even motorcycles are able to get custom plates with 4 characters.
