The 2016 Jaguar XF S is what happens when a British luxury sedan downs a double espresso, throws on a tailored suit, and decides to overtake everyone on I-15 just because it can. It comes armed with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that belts out 380 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, which means this cat is no house pet. It launches from zero to sixty in about 5.1 seconds fast enough to make you grin like you just stole tea from the Queen.
This car rides on an aluminum frame, which keeps it light on its paws and surprisingly nimble for a midsize luxury sedan. The eight-speed automatic gearbox shifts with the smoothness of a tuxedoed butler who secretly moonlights as a race driver. The drive can be rear-wheel or all-wheel, depending on how often you want to pretend you are doing rally practice up Big Cottonwood Canyon.
On the highway, the XF S sips fuel at about 30 mpg, which is practically polite for something this powerful. Around town, you will see about 20 mpg, though it might drop if you cannot resist hearing the supercharger whine spoiler alert, you will not be able to resist.
Inside, it greets you with leather, brushed metal, and a start button that makes the gear selector rise dramatically from the center console like it is auditioning for a magic show. It has room for five civilized adults and enough trunk space for a weekend escape to Moab, if you pack like someone who owns a British sedan and not a moving company.
Living in Utah, the XF S makes a lot of sense for someone who wants to carve through mountain roads with flair and still look refined pulling up to dinner in Park City. The optional all-wheel drive handles snow days with confidence, and the suspension keeps your ride smooth whether you are dodging potholes in Salt Lake or gliding along open desert highways.
In short, the 2016 Jaguar XF S is classy, quick, and just a little bit mischievous. It purrs when cruising, roars when provoked, and never forgets to do both with an accent.

2018 XF S Sportbrake First Edition

This is a very fun car to drive and being a station wagon of sort, very practical. The sound system is good but the infotainment interaction requires education, not so intuitive. Once dialed, a pleasure to drive, seats are very customizable and sport like in support. This isn't a cushy ride nor is the seating soft, more sport oriented. The transmission shifts smoothly and the dynamic functions add fun turning the wagon into sporty driver. - 5.0
A driver's car through and through

It's so much fun to drive. Always looking forward to some canyon carving in this car. The car has plenty of power. Handles like a sports car. And is ultimately a family car so you can take just about anything you'd like on your trips. While the upfront cost is high it does have a 5 year warranty and maintenance is included. - 4.0
Conservative, spunky, practical car

Fairly fast, pretty good handling, and a great ride from a very practical car. A great highway cruiser. Typical Jaguar seats are equal to those in Lexus' IS-350 which I find superior to those from Audi, BMW, Cadillac, and Toyota. A big trunk. Jaguar's rain/snow algorithm for traction control is by far the best of what is offered by Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus, and Toyota. Jaguar's In Control Touch 8.0 inch infotainment/navigation system is slow and has a very limited storage for favorite destinations. The heads-up display is panned by most professional reviews; however, I find Jaguar's to be superior to BMW's and Cadillac's HUDs with their white symbols mainly because Jaguar uses amber & green which I find less distracting by day and night.
